Vanuatu Vacation Guide
The islands of Vanuatu are located in the western half of the South Pacific, about midway between Fiji to the east and Solomon Islands to the north-west. The distance to Fiji is 800 kilometres. About 2,250 kilometres to the south-west is Sydney Australia. Its close proximity to Australia has made it a popular travel destination as well as a business investment region. It is also well-known as a tax-haven.
There are 83 islands in the Vanuatu group, twelve of which are larger islands, the largest being Espiritu Santo in the northern section. The main island, however, is Efate with its capital of Port Vila a busy travel and commercial hub for the country.
